NWFCA is a non-profit organization. The board of directors is comprised of labor and management representatives who meet regularly in order to oversee and provide direction for the organization.
Our services are available to public agencies, contractors, workers, and the citizens of Washington. NWFCA distributes educational publications, conducts training programs and researches legal questions regarding public works requirements.
We also aid and assist in the exploration of possible violations of the public works laws as they pertain to the construction industry. The result is that the citizens of Washington are seeing the best possible return for their investment – the expenditure of tax moneys. Our services include the monitoring of construction jobs performed under either State or Federal law requiring the payment of prevailing wages. We also survey the patterns and practices of employers concerning the payment of legally mandated wage rates.
NWFCA wants to ensure that proper wages and fringe benefits are paid to all workers on public works construction projects according to the laws that were established for that purpose.
